What is Scott Stuber's Net Worth and Salary?

Scott Stuber is a film and television producer who has a net worth of $50 million. Scott Stuber has produced such films as "The Kingdom," "Role Models," "Your Highness," "Ted" and "Ted 2," and "Patriots Day." Previously, he worked at Netflix, and served as the chair of the streamer's film division from 2023 to 2024. After leaving the company, Stuber produced "Deliver Me from Nowhere," based on Warren Zanes's non-fiction book about the making of Bruce Springsteen's 1982 album "Nebraska."

Early Life and Education

Scott Stuber was born on December 13, 1968 in the San Fernando Valley area of Los Angeles, California. For his higher education, he went to the University of Arizona, where he earned a degree in film.

Career Beginnings

After graduating from college, Stuber returned to Los Angeles and worked as a publicity assistant to Lew Wasserman at Universal Pictures. Eventually, he became co-president of production at Universal with Mary Parent. In 2004, he and Parent were named co-vice chairs of worldwide production for the studio.

Film Producing

In 2005, Stuber and Parent signed a production contract with Universal under the name Stuber/Parent Productions. Stuber went on to have his first credits as a film producer on the 2006 comedies "The Break-Up" and "You, Me and Dupree." The following year, he co-produced the action thriller "The Kingdom" with Michael Mann. Returning to comedies in 2008, Stuber produced "Welcome Home, Roscoe Jenkins" and "Role Models." That year, he signed a five-year contract with Universal under his own vanity card, Stuber Pictures. He subsequently produced the romantic drama "Love Happens" and the romantic comedy "Couples Retreat," both 2009 releases. Stuber began the 2010s with producing credits on the period horror film "The Wolfman," the science-fiction action film "Repo Men," and the romantic dramedy "Love & Other Drugs." He followed those with the 2011 stoner fantasy comedy "Your Highness," on which he had sole producing credit. In 2012, Stuber produced three films: the action thriller "Safe House," the military science-fiction action film "Battleship," and the hit fantasy comedy "Ted," which was the directorial debut of Seth MacFarlane. Also that year, Stuber Pictures was renamed Bluegrass Films.

In 2013, Stuber produced the road comedy "Identity Thief" and had an executive producer credit on the historical fantasy action film "47 Ronin." The next year, he produced the romantic drama "Endless Love" and the biographical crime thriller "Kill the Messenger," and reunited with Seth MacFarlane to produce the director's Western action comedy "A Million Ways to Die in the West." Stuber went on to direct MacFarlane's "Ted" sequel, "Ted 2," in 2015. He subsequently had five producing credits in 2016, including on the buddy action comedy "Central Intelligence," the action thriller "Patriots Day," and the holiday comedy "Office Christmas Party." In 2017, Stuber joined Netflix and produced the supernatural horror comedy "Little Evil." He was named chairman of Netflix's film division in early 2023, and remained in that position until early 2024. After leaving Netflix, Stuber produced "Deliver Me from Nowhere," based on Warren Zanes's recent non-fiction book about the making of Bruce Springsteen's 1982 album "Nebraska." Scott Cooper came on as the writer and director of the film, while Jeremy Allen White was considered to star as Springsteen.

Television Executive-Producing

Although mainly a film producer, Stuber has had executive-producing credits on some television series and television films, starting with the 2010 television film "The Pink House." After that, from 2011 to 2013, he executive-produced the NBC sitcom "Whitney." Stuber went on to executive-produce the action comedy series "Ryan Hansen Solves Crimes on Television," which premiered on YouTube Red in 2017. That same year, he executive-produced the short-lived ABC sitcom "The Mayor." For Netflix in 2019, Stuber executive-produced the pilot of the superhero series "The Umbrella Academy."

Personal Life

In 2008, Stuber married actress and model Rachel Nichols. Although they were working on building a home in Cabo San Lucas after their honeymoon, the pair divorced in early 2009 on account of irreconcilable differences. Stuber went on to marry model and actress Molly Sims in 2011; together, they have two sons named Brooks and Grey and a daughter named Scarlett.
