What Is Heather Bilyeu's Net Worth?
Heather Bilyeu (now known as Heather Bilyeu Altman) is an American real estate agent and reality television personality who has a net worth of $5 million. Heather Bilyeu earned her real estate license in both California and Nevada, and she has gone on to become one of the most successful real estate agents on the West Coast. She focuses the majority of her real estate work on the Hollywood Hills and Wilshire Corridor areas, and she is known among real estate circles for her ability to negotiate, the speed at which she is able to close deals, and excellent customer service. Heather has a number of celebrity clients and has gained national recognition appearing on the Bravo reality series "Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles" alongside her husband, Josh Altman. The two work together at Douglas Elliman Real Estate as members of The Altman Brothers Team.
Early Life
Heather Bilyeu was born on January 25, 1985, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Heather originally thought she would work for her parents' credit card processing center, but they sold the business. Bilyeu became interested in real estate at an early age, and as a teenager, Heather and her mother spent weekends touring new housing developments. Bilyeu has said that her mother urged her to get her real estate license after graduating from high school, and Heather took her advice. In an interview with "Toronto Paradise," Heather stated that her career took off quickly because homes were selling for above the asking price at that time, but then the housing bubble burst. She told the publication, "It was great while it lasted but then the market tanked and I had to take on a 2nd and 3rd job to float myself. I was miserable. I decided that it wasn't a good time to make a career change BUT I could make a move to where houses are more expensive meaning my commissions were going to be bigger and that is how I ended up in LA."
Career
After moving to Los Angeles, Bilyeu worked as an assistant for a successful Beverly Hills broker, and she earned her California real estate license in 2008. Heather is a member of The Altman Brothers Team at Douglas Elliman Real Estate. According to her bio on the firm's website, Bilyeu has "accumulated a prominent network of clientele including the Hollywood elite, high net worth individuals, and some of the wealthiest families of Los Angeles." In 2023, The Altman Brothers Team won six awards at Douglas Elliman's Ellie Awards: #1 Team Nationwide, #1 Team by GCI (Gross Commission Income), #1 Team by Volume, #1 Team by Transactions, #1 Team by Rental Transactions & GCI, and the Pinnacle Award.
Heather's husband, Josh, has starred on the reality series "Million Dollar Listing" (now known as "Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles") since 2011, and Bilyeu got involved with the show when she was working as Madison Hildebrand's assistant. According to IMDb, Heather has appeared in more than 20 episodes since 2015, and she also was featured on the four-episode spin-off "Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles: Josh & Josh" (2021–2022), which followed her husband and fellow realtor Josh Flagg as they expanded their business to areas such as Aspen and Napa.
Personal Life
Heather and Josh announced their engagement in August 2013, and they married on April 2, 2016. The couple welcomed daughter Alexis Kerry on April 3, 2017, and son Ace David on July 16, 2019. After Ace's birth, Bilyeu shared the news on Instagram, writing, "As we like to say 'Ace was a mover and a shaker' from day one. Breached baby, we tried every trick in the book from acupuncture to chiropractic to inverted crazy pregnancy exercises to finally having a successful ECV, little Ace turned head down just in time. We're so excited to have this little legend as part of our family."
Personal Real Estate
In 2018, Heather and Josh paid $6.7 million for a 6,500 square foot home in Beverly Hills. They put the renovated six-bedroom, 6.5-bathroom home on the market for $12 million in August 2021. The property features a "resort-style backyard" with a saltwater pool, a spa, and a covered patio measuring 1,200 square feet.
In April 2022 Josh and Heather paid $6.1 million for a 14,500 square-foot mansion in Bel-Air. They listed this home for sale not quite a year later, in late February 2023, for $14 million. Here is a video tour of the Bel-Air mansion:
