Timothy DeLaGhetto first became famous thanks to his many YouTube video productions of skits and parodies and his vlog, music, and style channels. Timothy starred on MTV2's " Wild 'N Out" from 2013 to 2019, and he has appeared in numerous films, television shows, and web series. Early Life

Timothy DeLaGhetto was born Tim Chantarangsu on March 6, 1986, in Billings, Montana. Timothy's parents are of Thai heritage, and he grew up in Long Beach, California. When DeLaGhetto was 9 years old, the family moved to Paramount, California, and his parents opened a restaurant called Thai Smile. Timothy attended Paramount High School, then he enrolled at California State University, Long Beach, but he dropped out to pursue a career in entertainment. He worked at California Pizza Kitchen in Long Beach, but he was fired in 2011 after he tweeted that the company's new uniforms were "lame." When DeLaGhetto was a child, he modeled his future business plan after Will Smith, calling it the "Fresh Prince Format." The plan included three objectives: "get a record deal, land a TV show and ink a movie deal."

YouTube Career

Timothy began posting videos on YouTube in 2006, sharing parodies, skits, rants, and the "Dear DeLaGhetto" series. As of mid-2019, his vlog channel had amassed more than one million subscribers and 195 million views of his 800+ vlogs, and the channel also featured collaborations with fellow musical artists, his own songs, and a series entitled "Weekly 16's." His style channel, "The Bakery," has more than 234,000 subscribers and 16 million views, and in 2011, he created the animated web series "Powerhouse." DeLaGhetto had his own show on the MXY TV network, "The Timothy DeLaGhetto Show," in 2011, and he joined the cast of "Wild 'N Out" in 2013. In 2014, his main YouTube Channel was ranked #64 on the "New Media Rockstars" Top 100 Channels list, and the following year, he guest-starred on MTV2's "Guy Code." From 2016 to 2019, Timothy starred in the web series "Escape the Night," and around this time, he appeared in the films "The Perfect Match" (2016), "Dirty 30" (2016), "Slasher Party" (2019), and "South Central Love" (2019) and hosted the web series "Goin' Raw" (2017), "Basic to Bougie" (2018–present), and "Send Foodz" (2018–present). He started "No Chaser," a dating and relationship podcast, in 2019, and in 2020, he began co-hosting "Deliciousness" on MTV. DeLaGhetto has also appeared in two episodes of "Epic Rap Battles of History," portraying Kim Jong-Il in 2011 and Sun Tzu in 2015.

Personal Life

Timothy had a long-distance relationship with Chia Habte (who lived in Canada) for seven years, and they married at the Bel Air Bay Club in Malibu in August 2018. The couple welcomed daughter Veyda on February 16, 2021.

Awards and Nominations

In 2012, the YouTube Creator Awards honored Timothy with a Gold Creator Award/Youtube Creator Reward, and DeLaGhetto and his "Escape the Night" co-stars won a Streamy Award for Best Ensemble Cast in a Web Series in 2016. He also received Streamy Award nominations for Best Original Song for "Airplanes and Terminals" in 2014, Best Collaboration (shared with Jus Reign) in 2015, and Best Ensemble Cast for "Escape the Night" in 2019.
