Sylvester Stallone Sold His California Estate To John Fogerty For $17 Million

A handsome piece of Hidden Hills real estate has been handed from one legend to another in their respective fields. According to a recent Robb Report story, film star Sylvester Stallone has sold his California estate to rock star John Fogerty of Creedence Clearwater Revival, for the price of $17 million, significantly less than what Stallone originally listed it for.

The sale comes a little less than a year after Stallone first listed the property for sale back in December of 2022, then with a reported asking price of $22.5 million. And that happened just nine months after Stallone bought the property in March of last year, for a reported $18.2 million. So the sale actually comes out to a loss of over $1 million for Stallone.

As for the property itself, it's a pretty impressive compound that sprawls across about 2.2 acres, with four bedrooms and eight bathrooms spread out in almost 10,500 square feet of interior space between the main house, guest house, and pool house. There's one more separate structure on the property as well: a barn with five stalls, tack room, and arena, making this an ideal property for horse lovers.

The compound's main house is described like this in official marketing materials:

"Highlights in the main house include five en-suite bedrooms, spacious chef's kitchen with granite counters, farm sink & professional appliances, garden room with stone floors & walls of glass, library, formal dining room with coffered ceilings, media room, wine cellar with tasting room, and upstairs study area. The sumptuous master suite features dual walk-in closets, wet-bar, laundry area, private balcony, and spa like bath with steam shower & freestanding tub. The lushly landscaped private grounds include a sparkling pool & spa, outdoor loggia with beam ceilings, fireplace, BBQ & refrigerator, 4-car garage, and security system, all with wonderful privacy and commanding views. Blending refined craftsmanship and timeless design, this one of a kind estate offers the best of both New England charm with California relaxed informality."

This isn't the only Hidden Hills property acquired by Fogerty and his wife Julie Fogerty. They also own another compound in the community that's about ten times larger than this one. They put it up for sale earlier this year but it has since been taken off the market, so the couple's plans for the property are currently unknown. As for Stallone and his wife Jennifer Stallone, they have reportedly relocated to Florida, having recently spent $35 million on a mansion in Palm Beach.
