In 1994 he was hit with a restraining order by second wife Joanne Robinson when she alleged that he abused her during their marriage. In 1996 he was charged again with drunk driving and was once again sentenced to rehab and placed on probation. He was charged with probation violation for appearing drunk in public three times and assaulting then-fiancée Patricia and sentenced to 60 days in jail.

Vincent's personal life was far from smooth. He struggled with substance abuse and legal troubles, leading to a gradual decline in his career. His issues began to overshadow his acting abilities, leading to a decrease in film and television roles.
