What is Jeff Phillips' Net Worth?
Jeff Phillips was an American professional skateboarder who had a net worth of $100 thousand dollars. Jeff Phillips grew up in Dallas, Texas, and began skateboarding when he was in elementary school. He and his father used to build skateboards together, and he was a regular at the Dallas' Wizard Skateboard Park throughout his high school years. He began to make a name for himself nationally in 1986, when he placed third at the NSA Pro-Am in Houston. He followed this up, by beating odds-on favorite, Tony Hawk, at the NSA Pro-Am Final in Anaheim. From there, he went on to win a number of competitions. He began appearing on the covers of magazines, like "Thrasher", as well as appearing in advertisements for various brands, including Sims Skateboards and Tracker Trucks. He also popularized the move known as the "Phillips 66". He went on to open his own skate park in the late 80s, calling it "The Jeff Phillips Skateboard Park". He passed away due to a self-inflicted gunshot wound in December of 1993.
