Joe spent 18 years at MBF Clearing Corp., where he rose to director of trading for the company and its subsidiaries. In this capacity, he managed more than 300 traders and support staff for MBF, one of the New York Mercantile Exchange's largest firms. His work was highlighted as the feature story in the June 2004 issue of Futures magazine.
In June 2008 Joe joined Phoenix Investment Partners – now named Virtus Investment Partners. Today he is a Senior Managing Director for Virtus. Virtus is traded on the Nasdaq under the ticker symbol VRTS. The company manages $110 billion in assets and has a public market cap of $1.6 billion as of this writing. Previously, he held the positions of chief market strategist and chief alternatives strategist for Virtus Investment Partners.
