Will Friedle was born on August 11, 1976 in Hartford, Connecticut as the youngest of three sons of lawyers Patricia and Gary. His brothers are Gary Jr. and Greg. As a teenager, Friedle went to Avon High School, and frequently traveled to New York City to audition for acting roles.

Career Beginnings on Television

Friedle landed his first television gig in 1988 when he began co-hosting the Nickelodeon variety show "Don't Just Sit There!" He continued in that role through the show's end in 1991. Friedle also appeared in episodes of the NBC series "True Blue" and "Law & Order" in the early 90s.

Boy Meets World

In 1993, Friedle had his breakthrough on the ABC sitcom "Boy Meets World." He was cast as Eric Matthews, the scatterbrained elder brother of Cory Matthews, played by Ben Savage. The show also featured Lily Nicksay as their younger sister Morgan, and William Russ and Betsy Randle as their parents Alan and Amy, respectively.
