What is Michaela Conlin's Net Worth and Salary?

Michaela Conlin is an American actress who has a net worth of $4 million. Michaela Conlin is best known for playing forensic artist Angela Montenegro on the television crime procedural series "Bones." After the end of that show in 2017, she had recurring roles on the neo-Western series "Yellowstone" and the science-fiction series "For All Mankind." Conlin has also appeared on the big screen in such films as "The Lincoln Lawyer," "The Disappointments Room," and "Bad Trip."

Early Life and Education

Michaela Conlin was born on June 9, 1978 in Allentown, Pennsylvania to a Chinese accountant mother and an Irish contractor father. Becoming involved in the performing arts early on in life, she performed in her first stage play when she was seven years old. Conlin went on to act in a variety of community and regional productions in Pennsylvania. As a student at Parkland High School, she starred in productions of "The Crucible" and "Bye Bye Birdie." Following her high school graduation in 1996, Conlin enrolled at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts, where she majored in theater. Concurrent with her studies, she performed in a number of productions at the Atlantic Theater Company, Stonestreet Studios Conservatory, and Playwrights Horizons Theater School.

Start of Television Career

Conlin first appeared on television in a 2001 episode of "Law & Order." She followed that with multiple appearances in 2002, starting with the Bravo reality series "The It Factor," which followed various actors living in New York City. Conlin subsequently moved to Los Angeles and landed her first main role, playing Dr. Maggie Yang on the ABC medical drama "MDs." The series also starred William Fichtner, John Hannah, Jane Lynch, Leslie Stefanson, and Aunjanue Ellis. Ultimately, "MDs" only lasted for one season before being canceled. Conlin went on to land her next main role in 2004 on the ABC legal drama "The D.A." She played Jinette McMahon, the outspoken political consultant to District Attorney David Franks, played by Steven Weber. The show also featured Bruno Campos, Ron Clarkson, J. K. Simmons, and Sarah Paulson. Even shorter-lived than Conlin's previous show, "The D.A." was canceled after four episodes.

Bones

In 2005, Conlin debuted the longest-running role of her career yet: forensic artist Angela Montenegro on the Fox crime procedural series "Bones." The best friend of Emily Deschanel's forensic anthropologist Temperance Brennan, Angela helps identify victims through forensic facial reconstruction. She gets married to entomologist Jack Hodgins, played by T. J. Thyne, in season five, and has a child with him in season six. Meanwhile, Angela's father is played by ZZ Top guitarist Billy Gibbons, who appears as a fictionalized version of himself. Eventually, it's revealed that Angela's full birth name is Angela "Pookie Noodlin" Pearly Gates Montenegro, with Pearly Gates being the name of Gibbons' real-life Les Paul guitar. "Bones" also stars David Boreanaz, Eric Millegan, and Camille Saroyan, among others. The series was a major success, running for 12 seasons through 2017.

The show stars Kevin Costner, Luke Grimes, Kelly Reilly, Wes Bentley, Cole Hauser, and Kelsey Asbille, among others. Conlin remained on the series through its second season.

In 2021, Conlin landed another recurring role, playing Marine pilot and astronaut Helena Webster in the second season of the science-fiction series "For All Mankind." The show imagines an alternate history in which the Soviet Union beats the United States to the moon in the global space race. Its ensemble cast includes such actors as Joel Kinnaman, Sarah Jones, Michael Dorman, Jodi Balfour, and Shantel VanSanten. After her role on "For All Mankind," Conlin appeared in a guest role on the Hulu comedy series "Dollface" in 2022.

After a five-year break from film, Conlin returned in 2021 for the hidden camera comedy film "Bad Trip."
