Early Life

Natasha Bedingfield was born Natasha Anne Bedingfield on November 26, 1981, in Haywards Heath, West Sussex, England. She is the daughter of social workers John and Molly Bedingfield, and as a teenager, she formed The DNA Algorithm, a dance/electronic group, with her siblings Daniel and Nikola. Natasha also has a brother named Joshua. When Bedingfield was 14 years old, she sang on the Origin album "Refined Intricacy." She studied psychology at the University of Greenwich for a year, then she dropped out to focus on her music career. Natasha recorded demos in her friends' garages, and she composed songs for Hillsong Church UK in the early 2000s, which appeared on the albums "Shout God's Fame," "Blessed," and "Jesus Is My Superhero."

Career

Bedingfield signed with BMG UK & Ireland's Phonogenic Records in July 2003, and she released her first album, "Unwritten," on September 6, 2004. The album was certified 3x Platinum in the U.K. and Gold in the U.S. and reached #1 on the UK Albums Chart and #4 on the Irish Albums Chart. The title track went 3x Platinum in the U.S. and Platinum in the U.K. and Canada, and it reached the top 10 in nine countries. The single "These Words" was also a hit, topping the charts in the U.K. and Ireland and going Gold in the U.K., U.S, Australia, New Zealand, and Norway. Natasha's follow-up, 2007's "N.B." In 2010, Bedingfield released the album "Strip Me," and the following year, she performed on the Simple Plan single "Jet Lag," which was certified 2x Platinum in Australia and Platinum in Canada. That year she was also featured on the Platinum Rascal Flatts single "Easy," which earned her an Academy of Country Music Award nomination. In 2012, Natasha appeared on the Lifehouse single "Between the Raindrops," and in May 2013, she served as a guest judges on New Zealand's version of the music competition "The X Factor." Her brother Daniel was a judge and mentor on the series that season. Personal Life

Natasha married businessman Matthew Robinson on March 21, 2009, in Malibu, California, and they welcomed son Solomon Dylan on December 31, 2017. Solomon underwent brain surgery in 2019, and Bedingfield wrote on Instagram, "Feeling gutted but also thank God that we live in a time of MRI where we are able to see into our own minds and for doctors who are wise enough to keep asking questions. He has an area of infection that somehow found its way into the brain. We are so grateful though that there is treatment for what Solo is experiencing and it is straight forward and has worked many times." Natasha is an ambassador for the charitable organization Global Angels, which was founded by her mother. Bedingfield got involved because she wanted to help "people around the world, particularly children, who live in conditions that would horrify us." In 2010, she visited a refugee camp in Mumbai, India, for children who had been rescued from prostitution, and she filmed video diaries during the trip. Natasha is a supporter of Stop the Traffik as well as the (RED) campaign, which raises money to fight HIV/AIDS. Real Estate

In 2009, Natasha and Matt paid $2.3 million for a home in L.A.'s Los Feliz neighborhood. They sold this home in 2017 for $4.2 million.
