Andrews released her debut studio album The Need of Prayer in 1963 and went on to release a total of 19 studio albums through 1991. She was inducted into the Gospel Hall of Fame in 2002 and was awarded with the Ambassador Dr. Bobby Jones Legend Award at the Stellar Awards in 2013.
