Kristen's husband, Josh Taekman, made a fortune as the founder of the energy drink company eBoost. Prior to launching eBoost, Josh was VP of Marketing at Diddy's Bad Boy records.
Early Life and Career Beginnings
Kristen Taekman was born in 1977 in Farmington, Connecticut to parents Karen and Marty. She has a younger brother named Martin. As a teenager in high school, Taekman was on the varsity basketball team. Her career path took a different turn, however, when she was discovered by John Casablanca's modeling agency at the age of 14. After graduating high school, Taekman went to New York City to pursue a full-time international modeling career. She then lived in Paris for a number of years, and subsequently spent time in Italy and Australia.
Modeling Career
After signing with modeling agencies in New York and Los Angeles, Taekman began appearing in some of the most famous fashion publications in the world, including Glamour, Harper's Bazaar, and the Australian version of Vogue. Additionally, she has been the face of national campaigns for such beauty brands as Clairol and L'Oréal, and has been photographed by esteemed photographers including Ben Watts and Antoine Verglas. Taekman also maintains a fashion and lifestyle blog called Last Night's Look, which focuses on both high- and low-fashion for everyday looks. Moreover, the website includes mommy advice, health-related tips, and pictures and notes related to Taekman's global travels.
"Real Housewives"
In March of 2014, Taekman joined the sixth-season cast of the Bravo reality television series "The Real Housewives of New York City." She appeared alongside other main players Ramona Singer, Sonja Morgan, Aviva Drescher, Carole Radziwill, and Heather Thomson. Also during the season, Luann de Lesseps appeared as a friend, and Kelly Killoren Bensimon was a guest. Taekman returned for the seventh season in 2015, and then left the series after that season ended.

In 2009, she launched a greeting card company called 2nd Street Press, and later, with her husband, founded the natural energy supplement EBOOST. Additionally, Taekman teamed up with Ricky's NYC to create a nail polish line called Pop of Color; the line is comprised entirely of vegan and cruelty-free polishes.
Personal Life
Taekman married her husband Josh in Key West, Florida in 2005. Together, they have two children: son Cash and daughter Kingsley. The couple ran into marriage trouble in the 2010s, when news came out revealing that Josh had joined the extramarital-affairs website Ashley Madison, on which he had made at least 62 payments. Both Kristen and Josh have since reported that they worked through the fallout from the incident.
After living in Manhattan's Tribeca neighborhood for several years, the Taekmans moved to a rental home in Los Angeles in 2020.
